Monday May 28th

Today, I left for Africa. I left at 9 o'clock in the morning for the airport. I got to hang out with Jenifer at the airport while she was waiting for her flight. It was nice to be able to just hang out. I was glad to have somebody to hang out with at the airport while waiting for my plane. We worked on Kakuro puzzles, which is basically a mix between a crossword puzzle and Sudoku. It is very challenging but we made a good team. I did the math and she did the logic. It was good. Time finally rolled around to get on my flight and I said goodbye and boarded my plane. I got to sit by myself and I was exhausted so I fell asleep. I woke up a little bit before my plane landed and a short while later we landed. I headed out of the gate and towards my next plane when I see Sky and Rachel and we then went to get Lacy. We then waited for the last of the crew to get in, Mary Margaret, Amy, and Angela. They get in and we head to meet up with the rest of the crew. We then head to the terminal and finally board our flight. It was a long flight, just under ten hours. I sat across the aisle from Travis and Lauren and behind them sat Mary Margaret and Alan. The whole way, there was just random talking and excitement. We got some food and made vain attempts to sleep. We finally arrived in Africa with a four hour time change...on Tuesday morning.
