Sunday June 3rd

Sunday June 3rd

Today we went to the Tchikpe cluster for Sunday morning worship. It was a lot different than normal. There were about twenty to twenty-five people including us. It was pretty cool. We sang some and then David talked. After David talked another person talked (one of the locals). After that we took the Lord's supper. It was quite different than normal. They had cookie-crackers for the bread and they used one of their local drinks, sulum, for the drink. It was kind of unexpected but at the same time expected. We were told that it would probably happen but it is one of those things you really can't prepare for. They had an interesting idea for treasury. After the collection, at least two people count the money and then they write it down in a log in order to prevent embezzlement. I think its a great idea. After this, we went back to the Reeves' house for lunch. After that, we hung out for a bit and then had dinner and went to the Reises' house for a devo. It was really good because we got to worship and pray in our native tongue
which was exciting because I could understand it all. After that, we went home and went to bed.
